Jim Henson’s Fantastic World

The National Heritage Museum in Lexington, MA will host the exhibit “Jim Henson’s Fantastic World” from April 3 through June 27, 2010. The show, organized by the Smithsonian Institution, The Jim Henson Legacy, and The Biography Channel, celebrates the life of Muppets creator Jim Henson and features work from throughout his career:

The exhibition features 100 original artworks, including drawings, cartoons and storyboards that illustrate Henson’s talent as a storyteller and visionary. Among the variety of exhibition objects are puppets and television and movie props, photographs of Henson and his collaborators at work and original video productions, including excerpts from Henson’s early career and experimental films.

Robot Chicken on Wheels

The team behind the Cartoon Network’s “Robot Chicken” are on an unusual cross-country tour: You can meet the show’s creators — Seth Green, Breckin Meyer, and Matthew Senreich — and go roller skating at the same time! The closest the “Robot Chicken on Wheels” tour will get to New England is New York City’s Riverbank State Park, which they will hit on Thursday, August 13th from 8:00-11:00pm. Joss Whedon and “Dollhouse” Cast at New York Comic Con

Fan favorite writer Joss Whedon, creator of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Firefly,” “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” and more, will appear at New York Comic Con February 6th-8th along with the cast of his new TV show, “Dollhouse.” Cast members include Eliza Dushku, Tahmoh Penikett, Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, Enver Gjokaj, Harry Lennix, and Olivia Williams. “Pushing Daisies” Tour

The Pie Hole restaurant from “Pushing Daisies” has been brought to life and put on wheels for the show’s “Touch of Wonder” promotional tour. Sadly, the closest this tour will get to us is its final stop in New York City’s Times Square at 7am on September 29th. They will be giving out freebies and, of course, pie.
