There are several different ways that you can be notified any time a new post is added.
If you use an RSS feed reader, this is the way to go. You’ll see new posts as soon as your reader checks for them. I’ve found this to be very fast and reliable.
To subscribe to the blog posts, use this URL: http://nescifievents.org/?feed=rss2
There is an option to subscribe to the comments, but to be honest I don’t get very many: http://nescifievents.org/?feed=comments-rss2
If you are on LiveJournal, you can see the posts showing up on your friends feed if you choose to watch http://syndicated.livejournal.com/nescifievents. Note that LiveJournal only keeps posts for a couple of weeks; there is no archive of older posts in the system.
If you choose the email option, you will receive one single email containing all the day’s blog posts. Go to http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverifySubmit?feedId=2456703&loc=en_US to sign up. I promise not to use your email address for nefarious purposes.
If you are a Facebook junkie, you can get the newsfeed by “liking” http://www.facebook.com/pages/New-England-Science-Fiction-and-Fantasy-Events/139619329383173. Note that I am using an app called RSS Graffiti to capture and post the feed. If I make more than one post in a row, as I usually do, then your news page may only show you one item and then say “See 2 more posts from RSS Graffiti”; you will have to click the link to see everything. Facebook only keeps posts for a limited time; there is no archive of older posts in the system.
A Note About the Calendar
The only calendar I update is the one shown on the main website. I do not create calendar entries or events on Facebook, LiveJournal or other websites. The original website is the one true source!
A Note About Comments
All comments made to posts on the main website get moderated, because 99% of all the comments I get are spam.
I only get notifications about comments that are made to the original posts on the main website. I do not get notified about comments on the LiveJournal or Facebook versions of the posts. Please comment on the original posts if you really want me to see what you said.
If you need to contact me, please directly email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for subscribing!
