Unfortunately the previously-mentioned performances of “Repo! The Genetic Opera” with a “shadowcast” performance have been cancelled, according to the Coolidge Corner Theatre.
The 2009 Paranormal & Psychic Faire will be held July 4th and 5th at Fort Knox in Prospect, ME. There will be discussions of ghost hunting, UFOs, cryptozoology, and more. For details see http://strangemaine.blogspot.com/2009/06/2009-paranormal-psychic-faire.html and http://fortknox.maineguide.com/events.html.
CinemaSalem in Salem, MA is holding a “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Concert” to benefit Equality Now on Friday, June 19th at 10:00pm. This event is an affiliate of the “Can’t Stop the Serenity” charity screenings. I believe that “concert” means that there will be a cast acting in front of the screen, Rocky Horror style. See http://cinemasalem.com/ for details.
The Hole in the Wall Company in New Britain, CT is staging a new musical called “Night of the Musical Dead.”
In the little town of Wicksford, Connecticut, the dead have risen. Based on George A. Romero’s cult classic, “Night of the Living Dead”, this world premiere musical answers the age-old question; What do you do when the undead come knocking at your door? Answer? Sing ‘em a song!
Show Dates:
July 24, 25, 31
August 1, 2*, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16*, 21, 22
Fridays & Saturdays 8:00 PM
*Sunday Matinees 2:00 PM

The New England Gaming Association Convention, featuring roleplaying and miniatures games, will take place August 15th and 16th, 2009 at the University of Maine at Farmington. For more information visit http://www.ne-con.org/tiki-index.php.
Apparently, in Maine, the zombies play kickball… very, very slowly. Who knew? Zombie Kickball IV will take place on June 28th, 2009, at 2:00pm at Carter Field in Portland, ME. It’s free, but they’ll be collecting non-perishable goods for the local food bank (real food, not brains). See videos from previous years at http://strangemaine.blogspot.com/2009/06/zombie-kickball-is-on.html and keep up with further developments at http://www.myspace.com/zombiekickball.
I’ve just learned that there’s also going to be a “Can’t Stop The Serenity” screening in Hartford, CT at the La Paloma Sabanera Coffeehouse on Tuesday, June 16th at 8:00pm. For more information visit http://www.capitolcinemacollective.org/; you can also see details at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Capitol-Cinema-Collective/76616159404?ref=ts.
Warning: The URL for the La Paloma Sabanera Coffeehouse seems to have been taken over by someone hawking MP3 audiobooks. Here’s a Google Maps link for the location: http://tinyurl.com/kldnxf
